Second Sunday Concert Series
Choral Concert for September 11, 2011
Expressions of Peace

Highlands Presbyterian Church hosts a concert series on the second Sunday of the month at 2pm. The second Sunday in September 2011 falls on the 10th anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11/2001. To reflect on that day, we are putting together a community choir to perform a concert entitled Expressions of Peace. Singers of all voice parts are invited to participate in this event. Miriam Matteson, choir director at Highlands will conduct the choir and Hector Garcia, organist at Highlands will accompany the group.

All music will be provided by Highlands Presbyterian Church. If you could bring a black folder, that would be helpful - we have some extras, but may not have enough for everyone. Rehearsals

Rehearsals will be from 7pm to 9pm at Highlands Presbyterian Church, 6909 Smoky Row Rd. Worthington, OH 43235 on the following dates:

Thursday August 4
Thursday August 11
Thursday August 18
Thursday August 25
Thursday September 1
Thursday September 8

A dress rehearsal will be held Saturday September 10 from 9am to 11am.

We understand that schedules may not permit you to attend each rehearsal so we ask that you come to as many rehearsals as you can and practice on your own if you have to miss any rehearsals.

Performance

The performance will be Sunday September 11th at 2pm at Highlands Presbyterian Church. A light lunch will be provided to all singers between 12:00pm and 1pm. Concert dress will be white tops with black pants or skirts.
